For those that fallow the entire story line in the books. Did the Predator’s know that the dead Predator was a host for the alien or what?
|
Thats what I thought. So it got me thinking. Did they see the little guy and not let us in on it or what. What about the original story line in the comics, did one ever make it on to one of there ships. |
At the end of the movie the bring a dead predator onboard their ship. Then walk away from it, and one of the chest bursters pop out. Then the movie ends. |
Not to sound rude but I know about the movie. I was asking about the comics. Like all/most movies they fuck up just about every thing they touch. It was a great concept but the screwed the pooch on this one. |

To enjoy this movie you have to suppose the stupidest man on earth was a billionare. He discovers a nuke plant under Antarctica and nobody on earth but him notices. He hires the stupidest people on earth to go there in the middle of winter and they discover a perfect round hole bored from space into the ice for two miles and are not smart enough to figure out why. Then these morons go into a temple of death with small arms and no radios or decent flashlights. They realize it is a temple of death and they are not alone and they start fucking with shit. They are stunned they get killed. OH, you don't notice the GIANT monster squirting out eggs in the basement!!!!!!!!!!!! Until it is too late of course. Great movie, the only way it could get any shittier is if Lorenzo Llamas was in the damn thing. |

Okay, I called up the brother-in-law who has followed the comic series and here's what he had to say: The comic had the girl going with the Predators on the ship. After getting everyone on board and leaving the dead Predator the alien did pop out. At some point the girl goes back to visit the dead Predator's body and she discovers the Alien in that chamber. However the Predators quickly kill and eliminate the lone Alien. There you have it. |
And the girl was supposed to be half-asian half-american. I swear they could've killed all the humans off the first 10 mins and I still would have watched it. As it is its like softcore skinemax porn, they should throw out the plot, and skip to the action. |

What was "Aliens Pig" all about? From what I remember from the ad in an ooooooold Superman comic, they put a nuke in a pig and sent it into an Alien hive or something. WTF? Also, Ripley was spare because she was impregnated with a QUEEN, vital to the survival of the species. The Predator just has a drone/warrior inside it and is a serious threat, so it needs to be eliminated. The developing Alien inside is expendable. |

The Book series took place in the Same time frame as the aliens movies on a Dusty planet where a bunch of farmers were raising cattle like creatures. The Predators drop off some eggs, the cattle get impregnated and the aliens attack the farmers compound. The predators start their hunt and are amazed the see this small asian girl fighting off the aliens with a 10mm Pistol. She befrinds the Predators and goes on the hunt with them to eliminate the aliens.. IN the 2nd book she is integrated in the predator society with the Dredlocks and mask. Some things go on on the predator homeworld and then she goes on a hunt again, but im a little fuzzy on the details, ,been years since I read the books... The Earch Hive series would have made a cool movie.. Basically the Aliens get to earth and a DOD type scenario happens.. the few survivors are in for a really horrible time.. But eventually humanity prevails.. Wont ruin it for you... |
Me too. I actually thought it wasn't that bad. |
If they'd just bothered to watch the previous movies and tried to maintain some sense of continuity, it might not have been such a horrible movie. |
well to be fair, her's was special. It was a queen edit: one of these days I'll stop replying as I read through the thread and wait until I've read all replies it was an ok movie, but I was really hoping for it to be set in the time frame of the AvP computer games |
| I rather liked the ending. Karma for puting those things on earth. Now they have a predator-based super alien loose on their ship. Kinda puts them in the same position as the humans in the first Alien film. Oh the irony. Wouldn't make much of a movie 'cause humans are necessary for audiences to relate to. Maybe if they had brought the chick with them, but then it would have been jujst a rehash of the first Alien film. No real point to a sequel. |
Were these books well written? I would like to read them, but I don't care to make the purchase if they are cheesy or have plot that makes you wonder about the common sense of the characters. |
|
yeah bad inconsistencies... chest bursters turned into aliens in like 2 hours instead of a day or so... think there were more aliens then people too... what kind of morons look at a perfect tunnel that obviously included the building roof and dont think spave based weapons... oh and the queen could be alive... it was frozen in the beginning and came back to life.. now its jsut in cold water.. and aliens never seemed to need O2 (alien1) |

the books were written like fanfics. I read the first one with the asian girl on the dusty planet..... it was ok. I read a lot of the predator novels too like concrete jungle etc..... the reason AvP sucked so bad..............PAUL ANDERSON! he has a habit of fucking up potentially good ideas. Look at Event Horizon if you dont believe me. |
