A lot of hipster manlet faggotry but the features on a lot of these packs is really cool! So as long as there are cool features, you're into hipster manlet faggotry? OK then. A.W.D. |

I really don't see any of those holding up to 20+ years of daily use like my North Face has. Integrated safety whistle? Really? Thank God I live in America!! I have a north face bag with an integrated safety whistle. They used one of those side lock whistles for the sternum strap. |

Some of those are pretty cool. I like the bobby backpack.. I'd consider switching one for my work/EDC.
The StandardLuggage one I already have something comparable, the eBags TLS MotherLode Weekender. It's basically a large backpack that opens like a suitcase, with stowable shoulder straps you can carry it like a backpack, or tuck them away and carry it like a suitcase. It's well made, and I've already used it on a few trips successfully. Great for just a couple days, but if I'm going for a week or so, I usually need to carry some extra shit in another bag (like extra shoes and such) The last one, the Loctote is pretty slick for a security bag. Not sure I'd have all that much use for something like that, though. |

It appears to hold up to light slashing, but I'm wondering how it would hold up to a piercing attack. I have a cable net that I can put over my backpack. It's heavy, and I rarely used it. A lighter solution that can wrap around and secure a large pack would be nice. |

If you get yourself lost or in a predicament that you cannot self extract from, a safety whistle is nice to have. The sound of a whistle carries farther than your voice, it is more distinct, and you'd shout yourself hoarse long before it would become difficult to blow on a whistle. I always have one on me when I'm hunting or hiking. |

If I'm hiking the outback, my plan involves much more than an intigrated whistle that is comparable to a prize from a cereal box. |

Quoted: I like the first bag with the side zip access panel. That would be nice for cameras. I kind of lost track of how many bags claimed to be "weatherproof". I don't know what their idea of weather is, but none of those bags were weatherproof. |

I've been thinking about preordering one of those, probably should have gotten in on the kickstarter price that ended yesterday but oh well. I have some other Peak Design gear for my camera and everything has been excellent. Quoted:

I don't know what their idea of weather is, but none of those bags were weatherproof. I have their strap system on my camera. It works quite well and is well made. My only problem with most camera backpacks is they are made for full frame DSLRs... but I use a u4/3 camera that is the same shape, but considerably smaller. (and still fucking awesome) |

Same with my Osprey bag. Cool but I'll stick with using a firearm to signal for help over a whistle out in the wilderness. Quoted:

I carry extra ammo in case I have to signal, but if I ever run out of ammo for the whistle, I won't need help anyway. |
