Someone has too much time on their hands? Or too much grant money. This reminds me that just because something can be done, does not mean it should. Obviously it is an impressive allocation of time and resources. Still, I'd rather hear 200 lesbian whores orgasm "Oh Christmas Tree" than listen to the marble machine. |

I am impressed. |

interesting
it looks like a engineer and a artist and a wood worker worked on the machine but at different times the large gears appear to be laser cut among other things the bearings and bearing supports are some nice work among other things while some of the other wood work is horrendous like it was hacked until it fit
it must be one cruel bitch to keep that thing running smoothly for any length of time ETA: watched the build video but im not convinced dude cut those gears with super precision but then hacks up tons of other stuff? makes no sense |

Awesome. I see 3 or 4 ball bearing music machines, a giant screen for a camera crew to shoot video too as he plays, and a badass show where he plays the various machines and tells the details (with video) on the build. I'd go to that show. Now add a giant compressor and appropriately engineered gatling like devices to that as the music reaches it's final crescendo the ball bearings get diverted from the machine to the guns, mowing down the audience in a crescendo of steampunk flavored mayhem. Wait - did I just say that out loud? |

All that time, attention to detail and meticulous work and they label the levers in 5th grade handwriting using a pencil. Noticed that, too. But I can appreciate it. Something about it works. You've got this highly intricate machine with labels that are super sloppy. |

Quoted: That was awesome. Arfcom hates creativity and innovation for its own sake. I agree and get made fun of from time to time for trying to get people to think outside of the box when it comes to what we are capable of. People have that we cannot do attitude and it sucks, |
