My parents just told me they are going to vote this year!  My dad is almost 50, my mom is 45.  Neither of them have EVER voted in their lives!!

I wondered the other day if this election would bring out a lot of new voters and this is proof that it will.

I am 21 and have never voted.  You better damn well believe I will be voting this year!

Before it is even asked, we will all be voting for Bush, of course.

Hell, people in Louisiana vote as soon as they're born and even after they die.

That's a good sign. I really think the older folks get it that we need GW back in office. Let's hope for a good turnout.

unfortunately a lot of older folks will go with sKerry cause they've got everyone convinced the Dub'ya will raid SS to buy missles or some crap like that.

Dem's are good at singing the "we'll get you cheap drugs" songs so the seniors will go that way.

Imagine my surprise when the other night dad informed me mom was a registered Democrat! I always thought both of them were Republicans. But mom didn't vote party line. She was too smart for that. But her sister and BIL vote straight Dem dad said. So did his grandmother. I guess she used to be teased a bit about it. Dad once accused her "that she would vote for a rattlesnake if it was a democrat."

Mom passed away in '81 and my aunt three yrs ago. Never knew dad's grandma Wentworth.

That's great, unless they want to vote for Kerry.   In which case it's time for you to start educating them, or steal their voter registration cards.

You're from MS. I guarantee you your parents have voted (early, and often) even if they didn't know it.

I know a few people who are making a real effort to vote, againt Kerry.  And a local Dem Charles Walker running for office while he is indicted nothing strange for this city though has happened before, sometimes they win.

And Northeastern PA. We get elections with more votes than registered voters, and people with no votes despite voting for themselves.

I have to get my absentee ballot. I'll be at school. I missed voting for Bush last time because my Alabama registration got "lost".
