[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Amazing ... Condi Rice (Page 1 of 2)

| Aint it great that Bush has nominated a black woman for Secretary of State. I love it when Republicans break with the conventional wisdom? Seems like she is a tougher character than Powel overall. Has Bush had the largest number of minority cabinet appointees? |
I thought she was more conservative than Commie Powell? |
I mean my friend is slightly liberal, not Condi |
|
She's perfect for the job based on nothing more than her history and experience. The fact that she's a black woman doesn't enter into it. But, I will say that ANYTHING that causes the Left to short out the few remaining neurons that they have remaining is fine by me.
|
Not any reasoning worth considering. Your friend might have been referring to how the liberal media demonized Rice during the 9/11 Commission hearings. Tell her to stop watching CNN. |
| Her statement during the buildup to the Iraq war was priceless. She told President Bush to "punish the French, ignore the Germans and forgive the Russians. She is a smart cookie with backbone, who will do very well. Watch the sparks fly the first time some third world asshat tries to ignore her because she is a woman. Keep a close eye on her boys, you won't be dissapointed! I wouldn't be surprised to see her run for POTUS/VPOTUS someday. Maybe Guiliani / Rice in 08? |
|
She's going to kick many asses. I approve of Bush's choice and have great respect for Ms. Rice. I think she'll be GREAT. If there IS a woman that I think I could vote for for the office of President, it's probably her. It sure as hell isn't Bitch Clinton or Ketchup Lady! CJ |
|
true, but it's still great to rub the noses of the "racial sensitive" left in it seeing how the republicans beat them to it I've heard that unlike powel she'll probably support bush's foreign policy
|
I call everybody 'folks' its how I talk and I didnt know 'Black' was supposed to be capitalized. I have no proof of my comment but I infer it from the behaviour of the left. For example: They claim to be the party of the minorities yet they place no minorities in positions of power and we do. That makes them pissed because it further destroys their credibility and we all know how the left hates the right. |
|
i think bush has more minoritys in his cabinet than the democrap presidents did that claimed to be for the them. I also think bush is sincere in his choices and condi will make a great asset. Plus on the political side it will sway some of the traditionally democratic black and hispanic vote over to our side making the conservative movement more vialble for the future. Russ |
No thanks. Only place in this entire world I was ever robbed, and only because I obeyed the law. I cant wear my little friend, I dont come. Thanks anyway.
I am.
No doubt public transportation is a magnet for the scourge of any city, and you consider the source therein. I dont know people like that, but I do know a long list of Black folks. And I dont know anyone worth listening to who considers Condi anything short of what she is. One smart mf that worked her way to where she is. [shrug] |
I will not vote for Giuliani, and neither will a whole lot of other conservatives--no matter who else is the VP. |
Condi Rice will be the next President of the United States.......we ain't got anyone else that can run and win....1. female 2. Black 3. probably the most intelegent person in the White House now 4. Soon to have overwhelming credentials for the job....Time is right....it's a no brainer...especially if Hitlery runs and everyone knows she will...

+1. Fuck Rudy. I am a one issue voter. Fuck with the 2A, and go down in flames. |
+1. The 2nd will protect us from those who want to mess with any other issue. Without the 2nd, it's open season on whoever "they" want. Therefore, the 2nd is the MOST important issue. |
Obviously Giuliani has done some things anti 2A that I am not aware of. Someone please educate me! |
Think! Mayor of NYC. Rudy has issues with 2A. |
| Michelle Malkin recently had a great column about the mainstream media and their attitude toward conservative minorities: www.townhall.com/columnists/michellemalkin/mm20041111.shtml |
I disagree with your assessment 100%, and I even suspect that you do as well. The Bush appointments are about picking the right people for the job, NOT race. Codoleeza Rice has been a Bush advisor since the 2000 election. Not because she was black, but becauise she was brilliant. The same is so of Alberto Gonzales. He goes back even further. Highlighting their race, and making such a big deal of it, as you are doing, is actually demeaning to them, AND it paints Bush as a hypocritical and "pro-affirmative action". But then you know that, don't you? |
She's black? Oh the humanity!
|
|
I would say that with the appt of Rice and other cabinet shufflings that the new 4 year GWB Admin will be more agressive or proactive with regard to the current line item issue of terrorist activity. The strenth of the will of the White House could quite possibly be THE straw that forces the issue of the UN *vs* USA to a head with ultimate ejection from US soil of a diplomatic immunity cover for insane ideas. One can only hope for such a conflict and eviction of that suspicious organization. Oh and.... America Fuck Yeah! Fuck the French.. Burn the UN. Railgun....
|
Cincinnatus, I think that is part of the point. Being color blind the president considers only his needs as POTUS, not making empty statements by making small appointments of minorities/women to satisfy the temper tantrums of the LLL, who only wish to appear unbiased. You will notice that they have yet to really open up, beyond the occasional female. |
Tough? Putting up at least some resistance to the "war presidents" illogical plans ("have a problem with Al-Quaida, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia?- let's attack Iraq, one of the muslim nations which had the least ties to 9-11!!") was tough enough for me. Or does "tough" implicate that Rice has no problem covering her boss 100%- no matter what? I guess, when it comes to a Secretary of State, the ability to think for himself & critizise the president if necessary means more to me than being tough. |
