After burning through the first three seasons of Murdoch Mysteries on Netflix through our Roku box, we found that Amazon Instant Video has seasons 4-7. The past few nights we've worked our way through most of season 4, all of which was "Included with Prime".
Just awhile ago we went to watch a new episode, and now all of a sudden, they're no longer free. Why would that be? Yes, my Prime membership is paid up. |

They change for the most recent seasons. Like with The Americans. First season was free, second season is going to cost you. Prime only gets you so far. Yes but there are 7 seasons and we are only in season 4 which is a few years old. Plus, last night it was free. We are actually trying to re-watch an episode my wife slept thru and I watched free. |

Amazon Prime has lots of stuff that starts for free and then the later episodes cost money.
Boardwalk Empire, for example. We are watching later seasons with On Demand, which is currently discounted in our area. You could also try checking DVDs out of your local library. |

Just checked my own account, none of the Murdoch Mysteries seasons are marked Prime.
I agree about Rachel Nichols in Continuum. I originally thought the show would be fluff showcasing her hotness (which would not have disappointed me), but the show has turned out to be pretty good. And she is doing a great job as the lead. |

Well crap. The MM were something we picked up by accident and quite enjoyed. Will check they library as suggested. ETA: thanks everyone. |

Most UK TV series are owned (at least for non-TV distribution) by a company called Acorn media.
Like Obama's Acorn, they are a bunch of twats. I bought a series and half-way through, Acorn decided that Amazon could no longer distribute it, even to people that had bought it. I complained, and Amazon refunded the money. Acorn want you to use their streaming service. I tend to find my UK programming from "other sources" rather than give them a single penny. |
Only Netflix does that sorta stuff!!!
