So I ordered an item from Amazon on Friday, completely unrelated to Black Friday, and deliberately chose the standard 3-5 day shipping since I'll be out of town until Tuesday. Well, it's already been delivered, on a Sunday, by the post office. Now my package will be sitting out there until I get back. It's not a valuable item but still, damn their efficiency.

There's an Amazon.com warehouse within four miles of my house - sometimes they'll do same day delivery.

They're building another 1 million square foot warehouse in the next city to the east of me ... meaning even more next day delivery stuff.

With the price of gas and what I value my time at it pays to buy from them for everything I can.

I don't think there are any warehouses in my state so that kind of thing doesn't happen.

Still waiting on all my stuff.

Wished that would happen to me! Whenever Amazon ships anything to me threw the post office it always 1 to 2 weeks beyond the delivery date. Post office sucks monkey balls.

Amazon is alright in my book.  I'm a annual Prime user and purchase as much as possible online.
