Needing a new lawn tractor since the 35 year old Honda rider finally gave up the ghost. I have seen some on Amazon showing as used because they are last years models and supposedly brand new but the sellers all have no feedback and the only thing that comes up on the sellers is an e-mail address.
I figure it's probably some scam. |

Amazon is pretty safe. Thier customer service is great to deal with is something goes wrong. How are the mowers being delivered? Can you contact the seller?
That being said buy a product that you can easily get parts for. A local service shop with parts on hand goes a long ways. Nothing more painful than waiting for parts or trying to find someone to work on it. Husqvarna and toro make a good product. Dont get the cheap low end model, always upgrade a little to a mid series mower. |

Amazon now allows individuals to sell certain items on the site as long as you jump through a whole bunch of hoops. I don't know the requirements for lawn and garden equipment, so, don't ask. I sell on eBay and looked into it. However, there were a lot of requirements I didn't want to sign up for. Can you give us a link for the mower in question? Then you can let the collective power and intelligence(?) of arfcom help you out!! |

Looks like I push mow for a while. I would rebuild the motor on the Honda since it is built like a tank but it"s $500.00 minimum in parts plus all the other little crap you always find when doing such a project. |

Not a chance on this one. It is a two cylinder liquid cooled engine. It has an actual clutch similar to a car and shaft drive. Best damned mower ever made. Quoted:

Can you find a replacement motor? Not a chance on this one. It is a two cylinder liquid cooled engine. It has an actual clutch similar to a car and shaft drive. Best damned mower ever made. Gotcha. Didn't know if you could put a used motor on and make it work for a while. I would look on Craigslist and FB rummage groups (if your a FB guy) for a decent used mower. Or push mow it and start saving. |
