I have a couple of questions that I would love to have answers for. Anyone here been sucked in to this bad ass game? Point me in the right direction with these questions.... 1) What is the command to talk while playing?(text messages) 2) How do you qualify to be a sniper? 3) How do you qualify to be a Ranger? 4) Any way to get a view of the game once you've been killed?(other than corpse view) 5) How do I set up my PC as a game server? And what features does the game host have....(Boot players? Game size? Like in Rogue Spear) Thanks for any help you can give me....I'm DYING to play Ranger/Sniper roles online!!!! |

first off goto [url]http://www.americasarmy.com[/url] 1) It's usuallt (T) but you can goto controls and rebind it to any key you wish. 2) Score 36 or better in Rifle Qualification. Also online if a teammate has a sniper rifle and he dies.. you can press "ACTION" and pick it up and use it, even if your not qualified to be a Sniper. [:)] 3) I don't believe this part of the game is unlocked yet which really means I don't think The Army has released the patch for this part. 4) Click the left mouse button, It should cycle through different "invisible" cameras throughout the game.. and You can also see your teammates too.. 5) I'm not exactly sure but that URL above should provide some help. |

I basically screwed...Satellite internet sucks for playing this...900 ping times..GAMEOVER. I hope they come out with bots like unreal so I can at least play the game...I got to the second training mission where it's online and it just isn't happening. :( Graphics are great and I know I'd love the game even single player..... |

Like in Rogue Spear) Not sure as host, but I belive there is a seperate download for the server version (I DON'T Exactly know, so don't quote me) Players can vote to kick a player out. at the command prompt [~] just type in [b]VOTEKICK [player name][/b] also at the command prompt [~] you can do this: [b]stat fps[/b] = current video Frames Per Second. Type command again to make this display dissapear. [b]say[/b] = Talk, just like pressing [b]T[/b] Thanks for any help you can give me....I'm DYING to play Ranger/Sniper roles online!!!! Don't get too excited, sniper is not everything it looks to be on these maps, most of which are sometimes too close for effective sniping. The game is cool, but still needs lots of work. there are some rendering problems grenades are way too powerful (Still, after patch) Accuracy seems to come and go, why? There is a lag problem that needs to be resolved transition time between command functions (change weapons, drop to ground, pull out grenade.. etc..) really sux. sometimes it takes forever to do these things and some commands, once started, you cant do anything else until it is done. (example, Your reloading and out of view, you hear/see a 'nade land nearby.. your toast, you cant hit the deck or run away) There are lots of other problems, which need to be resolved, but this game has lots of potential. Sure I bitch about it, but I spend some time before bed playing if I can. [b]NOTE: the above assumes you have the latest version; 1.2.1[/b] |

There are quite a few compatibility issues. A LOT of graphics cards are not supported by the game. While I downloaded it, I cannot get the game to run and figure it is a graphics card incompatibility problem. My system was fairly high end when I bought it a couple years ago, but it ain't up to it now. Probably you need one of the newer game-oriented machines with a pretty up to date NVIDIA card. (the TNT series of NVIDIA cards are not supported). |

Sniper... learn to shoot straight in the game. the hitboxes are a little misaligned on the riflerange. learn where the hitbox is regardless of where the orange target is. |

Did anyone else encounter the same problem I did? I downloaded all 200 some odd megs of it and installed and registered twice but still haven't gotten an email back form them. Is there a way to play without getting an email from them? If not, then where is my EMAIL!!! |

Got it... I've gone through boot camp/obstacle course and qualified expert. Still need to go through MOUT training and sniper school though. Yea, so far I love it. The rifle range is odd. I like that it takes into account breathing and site 'offness', but when shooting I get into my relaxed mode and can breath very very lightly compared to the game, and I like to tweak the sights to compensate. I'll play more later. A little bit at a time is all I can take of any game. |
