Who's bought any of the following lately, where, and what was the price. BTW, if you bought at a gunshop for a greatly inflated price because you needed the ammo right then, I'm not interested, I'm looking for good prices here, preferably from internet sources. .223, brass case, FMJ, suitable for Bushmaster shooting. Looking for your standard bulk purchase mil-surp. Obviously want non-corrosive. .308, brass case, FMJ, suitable for use in DSA SA58 carbine. Looking for non-corrosive, etc. etc. If you've had good function in an FAL with it that would be great too. 9mm, brass case, FMJ, suitable for use in a Glock. Other than that, don't really care as it'll mostly be used for the IDPA shoots I've been going to. Thanks guys. PS, I'll post whatever I find here too, in case anyone else is interested. |
| A little off-topic, but I was in a shop this weekend, and they were selling CAVIM .308 for $7 a box! They also had boxes of ChinaSport .308 (copper washed steel cases) on the shelf! I hadn't seen a box of that since '93. I bet it's been sitting there since then. I used to see both for $3.50-$4 a box! |

People don't seem to have a problem with them if they are ordering ammo. If they are offering a good deal on ammo you want, call them. MAKE SURE IT IS IN STOCK. Then order. Most of their Shennanigans involve taking orders for stuff they don't have, and forcing the buyer to wait until it becomes available again. This usually happens with 'other' items such as holsters, lights, mounts, rings, and such. Usually their ammo sales are reliable. YMMV. I got 2 cases of Q3131A from them for $250 one time. No problems! |

I'm getting South African 5.56 M193 for $40 per 300 rd. battlepack, and South African 7.62X51 for $28 per 140 rd. battlepack at all the Dallas area gun shows. Some dealers in the area are competitive as well. I've had very good luck with both calibers in the South African. For 9mm try S&B at J&G Sales. www.jgsales.com |
