Quoted: I just found out yesterday that several large LE agencies in my area banned the P320 from carry just in the past week. My prediction that is sooner or later Sig is going to face a major class action lawsuit and its going to cost them BIG. Not trying to dox you, but could you name the agencies? |

Quoted: Not trying to dox you, but could you name the agencies? My source (who has connections) reports that Weld sheriff made all of their patrol guys stop carrying the P320, no heads up, no grace time, nada. Apparently a lot of the deputies are running around frantically trying to get replacement guns and holsters. Same source says that Fort Collins PD and Larimer sheriff are also are telling their guys to stop carrying the P320, but apparently they've been given a grace period to switch over to something else. I'll try to confirm, I have some of my own contacts in those agencies. |

There is no way they are going to continue to payout for damage from a known problem gun. |

Sig gets immunity from NH Sig is a very local company to me so this just popped up on my feed. Look like they can’t be sued just because there is no manual safety. |

Quoted: I’ve seen tons of sig threads here but still don’t fully grasp what’s going on with them. Do they just go off walking around holstered, sitting on a shelf or in a desk drawer? Or is it only when holstering/unholstering? Supposedly an unadvertised ‘shake awake’ feature within the design. The people experiencing this new feature swear their hands were nowhere near the trigger. I’m not sure what to believe. I don’t own one and I wouldn’t personally buy a used one even for Hi-Point prices. |

Quoted: I'm keeping my P320 just so I can cash in on the class action suit. I'm tempted to put a primed case in it and set it in the safe and see if it goes off when there's nobody around to kill. It won't go off sitting on a shelf. If you put a .45 or 10mm takedown safety lever in it, and it fails the punch test afterwards, and you reassemble incorrectly, then carry it around, you have a much higher chance of an unexpected primer pop. |

Or is it only when holstering/unholstering? They're not going off just sitting there. They're going off in holsters. There is a video of one going off just as it's holstered, but the trigger finger is clearly on the outside of the holster. Not going off unholstering either, or at least there's no reports of such. It appears there are some defective striker block safeties, and if the wrong takedown safety lever is installed, and the gun is reassembled incorrectly, the striker can be held on a false sear, then can shake off. https://www.ar15.com/forums/handguns/Master-P320-index-thread-NO-opinions-allowed-post-links-and-data-only/14-216492/ It's an index thread, not for discussion. |

Quoted: My first thought He didn't pull the trigger but something did No, more than likely, the guy didn't assemble the gun correctly as described in the video in another post here where people weren't engaging the slide stop. He had one with the out of spec part that allowed for a partial sear engagement which DOES NOT ALLOW THE STRIKER SAFETY TO ENGAGE. Just assemble the gun correctly and this shit isn't an issue. Lock the slide back before you move the disassembly lever back into it's operational position. |

Quoted: I'm excited to see what Sig replaces it with in a few years when they decide the bad rep is no longer worth the effort of trying to salvage. Maybe a slightly beefed-up 365. With zero parts commonality to the current 365 platform of course, as is customary. Attached File |

Quoted: Why is this a story now? The story says the incident occurred more than 2 years ago. And it references a different incident from 2016. not exactly current. Mostly because SIG decided to post a bunch of stuff on social media stating it was literally impossible for the guns to go off without the trigger being pulled, then repeatedly doubling down on it. That brought out the not only autistic on the Internet but others who dredged up videos of the thing going off without anybody touching the gun. It also brought out a bunch of people actually taking the thing apart and testing different scenarios resulting in, most recently, a repeatable test that does make the striker fall without a trigger pull. Had SIG not opened their big mouths saying it was impossible for the gun to discharge, this whole debacle might well be just more murmuring about problem today. |

Small issue: no service pistol design in the last half century has allowed the user to incorrectly reassemble the gun, let alone into a configuration where a discharge is able to occur. Along comes SIG who says hold my Bud Light. |

My prediction that is sooner or later Sig is going to face a major class action lawsuit and its going to cost them BIG. It's taken on a life of its own now. It will be hard to tell the legit ghost-fire incidents from the scammers willing to induce a SIG-leg seeking notoriety or SIG money. I think more and more agencies will be dumping it just to avoid the drama that is almost guaranteed. |

Quoted: You know its becoming an issue when Inside Edition has a piece on the Sig 320 after the nightly news as they did last night. I was pretty surprised. I just scrolled through their YouTube channel, both videos & shorts. They have an anti-gun hit piece and they haven't posted it on the internet?

![]() 2 big pieces of Sig news He talks about the Grey Guns video where they highlight the LFD finding, and the NH legislation. |

Quoted: Not trying to dox you, but could you name the agencies? WA state has banned the P320 from being carried by recruits from any department. The state training commission will not allow recruits to carry a P320 while in the state academy, but it’s possible an officer could be issued one after they graduate. Doubtful, but possible. This decision was made months ago. |

The P320 is designed to shoot people, and the gun seems to be trying to do just that. And now, you're effin tellin me I shouldn't have a tool that's eager to do its job? Oh, oh, I should intervene and make some sort of conscious decision about whether the gun fires or not? Because, that sounds like a lot of responsibility and mental burden. In today's automated world, I say let the gun decide those things. SIG is solving problems we didn't even know we had. You should be grateful. |

Or you've read up on the issue, tested your striker safety, checked your takedown safety lever, and use the procedure in the SIG manual to assemble your pistol. You should be safe from undesired lead injection gender swaps. We think. At this time, based on what's been uncovered so far. |
