Was cleaning up the yard this evening and uncovered a snake in some leaves. Wasn't very big, just a small thing (6-8"). I don't know what kind it was, but it had a flat, triangular head and was light brown with a diamond pattern with darker lines outlining the patterns. Sorry, no pics. |
Nope, not a copperhead. This is a pic of a copperhead, the pattern isn't uniform or tight enough, compared to this one. This is pretty similiar to what this snake looked like, but the head on this one was flatter and more of a triangle shape. (Northern Brown snake):
