When the ban sunsets, what is the earliest they can enact a new ban the next year. Okay Kerry wins. Bush loses and does not enact a new AWB. So when in 2005 could they first pass a new law? How much of a window would we have? Thanks CRC |
It can't be done via Executive Order; it doesn't work that way. Kerry could become POTUS tomorrow and there is nothing he could do with regards to the AWB as long as there's a majority of RKBA Congress critters (both Republican and Democrat), in the Senate and House. Executive orders are guidelines, instructions and interpretations on how existing law is to be enforced by the agencies that enforce them. |
The 89 Import Ban was the original true assault weapon ban. Clinton just swept up what few domestic ones were left. |
