It is a BC-603 radio reciever out of a Sherman tank.

Probably for a 1903 I think the 1917 took the enfield bayonet

I believe it's a M1905 manufactured in 1918.  Originally for the Springfield, later used on the Garand. Sorry for the poor pics.



The original 16"ers are hard to find. Obviously this one is in rather poor condition.....

Cool. I'd scour ebay for a pair of similar-condition handles. Make it complete and don't use "prettier" handles than the blade.Awesome find.

I believe the 1917 took the P-14 Enfield pattern bayonet which also was used for our military pump shotguns, again IFRC.
