Decided to take the dive into this amazing forum! Intro; I'm in S. Oregon, have been in weapons for 30yrs and still don't have a .223. Been thinking about the A2 or alike, but to be quite honest, don't know why everyone builds their own?? So I am going to have a lot of dumb Qs so bare with me. Hunting, shooting, 4x4, repelling, fishing, pretty much anything outdoors I'm into. Was a FF/Medic for 15yrs "retired", currently working behind the scenes in the Safety field. Latest purchase, an XD40 service, love it. Have many "items" but enjoy my Saiga .308 and the SKS! But I really want a M4 style or something light and small. I'm a big guy (6'2-240) so bigger the kick the better! But the calling of the Bushmaster stuff is bugging me! Oh, to get something out of the way, McCain all the way. (Hope that doesn't stir up too much). I guess I will snoop around about building a new weapon..., Thanks
