I live in central-west IL. I have very little insect problems at all in this house, sometimes I get ants during the summer, but that's about it. It has been a few years since the house has been sprayed, but then, there's been no major reason to spray. Occasionally I find one of these things climbing up a wall however: www.norcom2000.com/users/dcimper/assorted/inanities/general_wtf/secret.html I find them on the opposite end of the house from the kitchen; the only room I find them in has no obvious supply food at all. I find them at all times of the year, even during winter. I only find them in one room, and even only climbing up one wall of that room. The house isn't perfectly sealed, but there's no furnace vent at the base of that wall, or any other way they would be easily finding their way inside. They are small, and move very slowly. I'm no exterminator, but I don't find evidence of any other insects in the entire house. Anybody know? [edit--well nuts, can't use quotes in thread titles...] ~ |
