Why does split top wheat bread have more protein then normal wheat bread?

I was uninterested and unaware of such a fact until this post.

I will be back after 20 minutes of Google and Wiki to confirm this phenomenon.

Is it different brands? If so, they may use a different flour. Or maybe the split-top uses a different flour anyway.

It does not. Split-top is just a term used to describe a particular shape of bread. It does not say anything about the flour which was used to bake it. Split-top bread has usually a rectangular loaf which is split on the top.

Next time your at the store look at the back of them. Every bread I ever seen has been like this.
