The world record anvil shot is something over 800 vertical feet, IIRC.
That's something to think about.
But, that was done with an "illegal" aluminum anvil. The record "legal" shot (iron or steel anvil)
is in the 400 foot class.

I did a decent amount of ironwork and may I say this is some fantastic stuff....
