I’d like to make cider from this years prickly pear harvest. The juice is tart and sweet from the wild ripe fruit I harvested.

I’ve brewed beer a few times but never made cider.

Looking for a link to good clear instructions, I’ve googled and found a lot of content but not a good clear step-by-step how to for cider.

Recipe??? When I was growing up on the farm.I.own now we moved the cider mill/press out of the tool shed,washed it off,gathered the apples from the orchard,dumped them in 55gal.drums of water,took them out and cut the bad spots off,quartered 'em and put them.in the mill grinder,(cranked by hand,my job) they fell straight down into the press"baskets" and grindings were pressed. Cider ran thru cheese cloth into a clean dishpan or stainless milk.bucket and was then poured into clean glass jugs.....ta-da cider!

Ummm…

That’s not cider.
