If you come here, watch for deer. It isn't like South Louisiana where if you even SEE a deer at all you tell everyone you talk to for weeks. They're everywhere over here. I hit one two weeks after we moved.

Since we’re on page 2 now, I guess I can post this:
https://www.agfc.com/en/explore-outdoors/shootingranges/ The Fiocchi Shooting Sports Complex is 5 miles east of Mayflower, just north of Hwy. 89 on Camp Robinson Special Use Area. The range is open to the public 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Wednesday-Sunday. Shooting guests must register no later than 3:45 p.m. Shooting ends at 4:10 p.m. The range may be closed for state holidays, foul weather, special events or other circumstances that may prevent the safe operation of the firing range. Please check the range calendar for availability. The facility offers a 50-yard pistol range, a 200-yard rifle range, skeet, trap and 3-D archery ranges. Fees are $3 per person for pistol and rifle ranges and $4 per 25-shot round for skeet and trap. 3-D archery is free, although archers must register in the range house prior to shooting. Spotting scopes are available for rent for $2. No ammunition is sold at the facility. Eye and ear protection is provided. The range accepts cash or check, but no credit or debit cards, for payment. |

Blow past an ASP trooper doing 30 over the limit, then star in one of those Youtube vids of Arkansas State Police car chases!
Bonus points if there's a PIT/TVI! Double bonus points if you run into a field after the PIT disables your vehicle, and they send a K9 after you! |

Quoted: Learn how to drive in a roundabout. Best places to eat are Mike's Place and Pasta Grill downtown. They just lifted all length and daily limits on Lake Conway. They're draining it in September for renovations. Not a ton to do in Conway proper, but plenty of hiking and stuff nearby, although it's hot as fuck right now. View Quote LoL hot? I've lived close to Conway for about 30 years now, and have spent time in the area all my life.
If I were looking for something to do, I would go to Greers Fairy Lake and go boat riding or something. Not much to do in Arkansas right now. Too hot to fish, and of course, deer season is a ways off. |

It was in 1970. So I expect there is more to do today. Toad Suck ferry has already been mentioned |

Quoted: That area barely qualifies for "Arkansas" these days. Close your eyes, spin you around 3 times and you'd swear you were in a DFW suburb. View Quote Yep, spent 10 years in Fayetteville after graduation. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. It's changed, and not for the better. No longer Arkansas. I've been back once for a Hog game. Didn't really enjoy it, and when the wife mentioned going to a game this year I told her I'd rather just sit at home and watch it on TV so I can go out on the farm the rest of the day. |
