Sorry, cannot answer your question directly. I’m currently using a Boss ME-90. I like that while actually being digital, it still has knobs. It can interface to my iPad via Bluetooth. I had a Helix LT. It was solid, but I bought both at the same time and didn’t really need two or the headache of two devices to learn. YMMV |

A critical point for me with any MEP/modeler is what sort of app support and connectivity is has. I hardly ever touch the knobs on my Helix Rack except for the volume knob. Everything I do on it is with HX Edit on my PC. I can even play music and tracks through the Helix via the USB connection and loading or backing up presets and IRs is really easy. I would assume in this day and age pretty much everything has a management app and USB connectivity but it's just something else to think about. |

I didn't consider that this didn't have Bluetooth. I just assumed it did. Now that I have looked at it, there does not seem to be an app for iPad or a program for a computer, at least that I can find. not sure what I think about that. maybe I need to spend more money, the flexibility of seeing the peddles on the screen and the ability to move them around and being able to directly change tone like reverb, chorus, delay, etc with hardware knobs instead of having to open up the particular peddle drew me to this, and the IR and NAM capability, although those are somewhat limited. I just play for me, so the improvement over a Boss GT-3 will be great, but maybe I need to consider something else before I open the box ETA. It does have windoz software via usb. But no iPad app. |

Well it turns out I really like it. everything is easy to customize on the unit, it is very intuitive and it sounds great I added a bluetooth receiver to the AUX in for backing music because I like to play to songs it has a headphone output and I mostly play into headphones, so that works great Keep in mind the only other full size effects unit I have used is the Boss GT-3 and this blows that away as i would expect because that is about 20 years old one of the many hundreds of songs i like to play is Radioactive by Within Temptation and I was able to create 2 patches that sounds like the Metal Distortion and the clean sound with delay and reverb that the song uses n about 15 minutes by ear. Much easier to do than on the GT-3 which i never really got right for this song. the interface is very intuitive and EQ, volume, master volume, delay, reverb changes are fast etc and saving the changes is a single push of a button. It is all very very easy and intuitive to use. i am a fan , just realize I have very little experience with effects processors, but for a guy like me that plays for me only and mostly into headphones, this processor is exactly what I was looking for. |

I have a POD go. I modded a few presets to what I like and leave it. I was looking at the Fractal units but decided for a cheaper option. I have used Line6 in the past for easy studio temp tracks. The devices these days have so many options and features its a bit ludicrous. After a while it can all run together. Its like tonal OCD. I can adjust tone on this stage or overall global eq OR on the amp as well. lol. I bought a cheap monoprice stage right tube amp recently. Happy for the price and performance. I wish I played more. I stopped playing for years. |
