Double dragon SNES---> family reunion---> the warriors---> wild wild west. THey are working on a 5th movie. I did think this was the last but apparently not. Its 3 hours tho so prepare your self. its entertaining just not as good as teh first one is.

I saw it yesterday. It was personally my least favorite, and I say that as someone who loves the Wick movies. They turned a pure action movie with great gunplay into a wannabe superhero drama with bad gunplay. They add so many lines of dialogue to movie full of people who can't act. Donnie Yen a blind assassin? A blind dude who can run up stairs while sword fighting and shooting a gun? A morbidly obese asthmatic who can fight just like John Wick? There are some great scenes. The dragons breath scene is phenomenal. I think the vast majority of people will love it.

Yup, going to the 3:15 show this afternoon at my favorite giant screen theater.
-- ETA Back from the show. My favorite actor in this was the Belgian Malinois that was a partner to another assassin. If you like the cult classic "The Warriors" you'll appreciate the homage to it. |

Going with my kids tomorrow.
Fully expecting John to be protected by bullet proof plot armor...er...Armani suits. Rewatching JW1 tonight. Unfortunately unable to buy Blantons in my state. |
|
I was going to say that I'd likely wait until John Wick 4 makes it to streaming but if some of you guys are saying it's about as good as JW 3, I won't even bother, LOL.
The original John Wick was really good. JW 2 was crappy but still entertaining. JW 3 was borderline unwatchable. |
|
Just finished watching it. There was a pair of 80-90 year old ladies with walkers that showed up to watch it. We figured they were in the wrong theater but they stayed until the end.
I enjoyed it. Really liked the camera angle they used in one of the fight scenes. |
|
Just saw it. Liked it. Probably the second best of the series.
The asshole in the seat next to me kept checking his phone. I hate public theaters |

Quoted: I agree with you but Chapter 4 goes a little too far IMHO. Everyone I saw it with thought the same thing. It's to the point you were bored waiting for the action sequences to end so the movie could get on with the story. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: They're not that bad. Sure, they're a bit goofy, but they're action flicks. And fun ones. A bit of cheese and ridiculousness should be allowed for in any action movies. This is true. Saw it yesterday. Great fight sequences lots of gun porn. It was a great time. Second best in the series. Turn your brian off an enjoy the carnage.

Just got home. As others have said, action sequences went on a little too long. Otherwise, I loved it.
(As to the post credit sequence… I shrugged and said, "Meh, fair play.") ETA: So glad I never watched any of the trailers. |

ohhh jeeez......ARFCOM Siskel and fat Eberts giving their opinions again.
JWI.. it sucked...JWII..it sucked.... JWIII.. it sucked even harder...... JWIV... no wait......it sucked... Reading some of these movie threads makes me wonder if you aren't really guys at all but are closet women pretending to like guns and action movies. |

Not if the theater paid me the admission price to see it.
They get worse as they go, the first was good. I couldn't be bothered to finish the third one and it was free. Borrrrrrrrrrring. Might as well watch someone play a video game. |

Just got back from it.
It was pretty damn good. Wayyyy better than JW3. |

Watched yesterday - I thought some of the fight scenes dragged on way too long, and the whole "open season on John wick" thing got tiresome. I would have preferred a continuation of the series where he hunts down each and every member of the high table.
Good news is I had to piss pretty bad, so I went out and drained the dragon, came back and really didn't miss any of the movie, because it was just the next group of 3 bad dudes he was fighting clad in black storm trooper gear. |

Quoted: Its raining here, first showing at one theater at 11:20. Still time for me to decide to go or not. Asked my girl if she wanted to see it even though she's seen none of them and she said yes when I asked but I kinda wanna see it by myself first. That whole segment of the film was "The Warriors." (I especially enjoyed it in that the two movies were very similar in their take on the "hyper-stylized underworld" motif.) |

Went yesterday. The audience clapped and cheered multiple times throughout the movie. I enjoyed it.

Entertaining but damn. The fucking bullet proof suits. Sorry but a one off example of that works, everyone having it makes it just go to 'this is CGI bullshit' immediately.
