So, I'm looking at the Clearance section of Bud's Guns and come across this pic of what I thought was some kind of accessory for $129.  Then I see it's a .22 zip gun and I'm like "WTF?  A zip gun???"

Turns out it's a "ZiP" gun from US Firearms.  A .22lr semi auto bulldog pistol using Ruger 10/22 mags.  I never even heard of them.  So I googled it and discovered I prob will never hear of them again soon.  They are jammamatic paperweights and appear to be universally labelled "Quite Possible the Worst Gun Ever Made".

I'm thinking of buying one and just putting it away as a collectible.  It's $129!

Handled one at a local gun show.  Horrible ergonomics!  I wouldn't mind shooting someone else's but I wouldn't buy one.

From excellent SAA's to this horrible atrocity, seems like the typical American manufacturing dream.

Buy a Jennings J22 instead: at least those have a fan club to offer support.

I've met the inventor of that gun at the BIG 3.  It was designed as an EMERGENCY USE gun, and not really intended as a gun for the range.  It has a really heavy trigger, and is not meant to any kind of long range shooting.

Those are actually fun to shoot, and fairly accurate.  I wouldn't buy one, but have shot a friends.

It's a POS gun that doesn't cycle worth a damn. Man is it fun to make libs heads explode when they see it.

Got one too. And yes, it's a lot of fun to shoot and accurate as well. Wish it was more reliable but it does alright when it gets the ammo it likes. Unfortunately, CCI Mini Mags have been like unicorn farts for the past two years.

The one I have is a jam-o-matic stove piping pos. Worst 60 bucks I ever spent.

The USFA Zip is proof that insane people hold FFL's.

When USFA announced their 1911, I thought something like, "Why, it's not like we need another 1911". But they didn't drop their Colt 1873's or Lightning.

Then suddenly, they're producing a gun that Stevie Wonder could predict was a failure.  But a few people bought them; ask Burn about his.

My little Mexican swap meet Jennings .22LR works fine.  Needs a squirt of oil once in a while.

Holy cow that looks like a good way to shoot yourself in the hand.  Good to know you can shoot it from the side.

I'm sitting on 12 boxes, but they're for my belt fed upper.

Got lucky at my morning Wally World runs a few times.
