I think I'm hooked.
I just started Monday and have 7 finds under my belt. Pretty good training to help you learn  to operate your GPS.
With in 30 miles of here there are probably 25-30 caches.
I know it's probably a dorky hobby but it's pretty fun!
Check out www.geocaching.com for more info on the subject!

Yes. I get my hands on some topo maps, plot the points on the map, and hone my terrain association skills.

My wife and I (aka "SoonerKat" on the geo board) got into geocaching about a year ago and have a blast with it. Now before a trip anywhere we are checking to see if there are any caches hidden nearby. Our area (West KY/TN) is chock full of hides. So far we have 140 finds and 9 hides.

I started a few years ago and do it occasionally. I think I have around 25 finds. It is a nice way to spend a few hours when the weather is good.

Another cacher here, at least I was until I lost my GPS Its somewhere in the Tradewater Wildlife Management Area. My goal was to beat Guncat (AKA Soonercat) to caches but since he is either unemployed or a wealthy republican he seems to log about 90% of the FTFs in the area. Great way to pass time and to see things you normally never would, sometimes right in your back yard.
