| I was at the local Advance Auto parts Thur looking for some fuel injector cleaner for my 04 Jeep Liberty that has almost 94,000 miles on it. The salesman suggested I get Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant and Fuel Injection Cleaner, which I ended up buying. It came to $10.50 and you use 6 OZ at a time, so there is a lot more product for the money. I would say 95% of my mileage is highway, I have a 110 mile daily commute and the Jeep is paid for so I want to keep it running for some time to come. Anyone with experience with this product please let me know how it works. Thank. |

If thats the Lucas stuff in the little long necked bottle, I used to use it in my Honda Civic. I would pour it in and I swear that after the untreated gas in the line was used up, I could feel a little kick in the ass from it. I've never put any in my Nissan. Maybe I need to try it. |
That's it the color of honey. I just added it to my tank so I will check and see now it works. |

Remember how gullible people used to be, when they bought Doc Watson's magic cure-all? Man, I can't believe people fell for that shit. We're so much more enlightened and sophisticated now, in the 21st century. I'm not sure why that popped into my head, but +1 on the Lucas tune up in a can! It's good stuff!!! |
I use to think the same of additives till I kept hearing good stories of Lucas' stuff (and nothing for anyone elses) Their tranny additive works great in older automatics starting to slip when cold. The power stearing stuff has stopped two different leaks in two different trucks Ive owned and quieted the pump in my old Ramcharger. The FI additive I dump in every couple of months (that Im home) and while I dont really notice a 'kick in the pants' , Its highly recomended by a few motorheads/mechanics Ive known over the years , and my trucks have never had any fuel probs. Im still sceptical of any of the motor 'honeys' out there. YMMV |
