I've seen 22LR in plentiful supply at $65 a brick of 333 or maybe a little more for a 500 brick.
I pretty much just have to hand-load center fire now, because it's easier overall, and typically less expensive. It's sad, because I got my gemtech mist 22 form 4 approved 2-3 months back. |
| In four years, at any area Walmart, I've only been able to buy one brick of .22lr. It was a box of Thunderbolts. The only way i lucked into it was beause i asked the clerk if he had any. He had that one box. I bought it. The only other local retailer that has some at a decent price is Academy. |

Never see it locally at Walmart. Bi-Mart very occasionally has some but it disappears same day. What I do have I'm saving till my daughter is old enough to start shooting. Ironically it might actually be plentiful by then. Nah, who am I kidding. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Looking in the wrong Walmarts? Albany had a few boxes of Federal the other day. Tigard had a few thousand rounds of Thunderbolt on the shelf. Quoted:

I don't get up that far north. |

What area of Texas are you in again? Quoted:

What Walmart? There's not been any on the shelves here for 3 years. Academy has had it but the neckbeards are still a real thing. It is bought out as soon as the doors open. What area of Texas are you in again? Austin but I've hit Walmart in Round Rock, Georgetown, Pville, Leander... no .22 to be had. I'm not hurting for any, not too bad, but most of what I have is bulk Winchester. I hesitate to shoot my CCI stash anymore. |

Check Academy's on Thursdays or, even better if possible, hit up the newest Academys. There was a new store that was my consistent source for about two months -- 8x500 = 4000 more than I had. |

Don't see it at any of the DFW Walmarts. And I see it all over, all the time, at the DFW Walmarts. I think the people who "never see it".... don't look very often. Sure, it is out of stock more often than in stock. When they get it - it doesn't last long. However, I still find it all the time. But then, I actually make a point to go look on a regular basis. |

Neckbeards still scarfing up all stock promptly as soon as it's put on the shelf here in the Tulsa area, or so says my local Wally World sporting goods department clerk.
They get there before dawn (...because they don't have JOBS to go to), get a cup of coffee at the Mickey-Dee's in the front of the store, wander back to the ammo counter, open up a new folding camp chair, and patiently wait sitting in the aisle for the boxes to go up as soon as the truck arrives. Clerk said he started charging them for the camp chairs they open and don't put back. They have to go to the front desk to get a refund on the camp chairs.
Thank God for my local gun shop owner. He keeps a stash in the backroom for his regular customers...and none of that Thunderbolt crap. |

Quoted: Pretty much this for me also. Quoted: Quoted: I can buy .22 everywhere but Walmart. I buy Perfecta 9mm once or twice a week. I look for .22 every time, while I'm there. I have bought .22 one time in the past 3-4 years (at Walmart). |
