| I really like it, because it's fast as all get out, but I can't figure out how to get all my bookmarks to display on a sidebar. Call me lazy, but that's how I like to configure my browser |

The "incognito" window does have it's uses, though.

I would venture to say that whatever the problem you are having with AR15.com, it is not a compatibility problem. |

Call me lazy, but that's how I like to configure my browser According to the discussion on the Google Chrome forum, that ability to dock the bookmarks is not available. This might be changed in a future update, or when 3rd party extensions and applications is allowed. |

I've heard the tin foil hatters complaining about it. What's the deal with that aspect? There were a couple of security vulnerabilities found while Chrome was in beta, and for some reason a lot of people felt that was reason not to use chrome. These vulnerabilities were fixed, and other browsers such as Firefox were found to have similar vulnerabilities as well (Firefox had more of them than Chrome for instance) |

i've not yet gotten around to trying it, so i'm downloading it now to see what it's like. i seriously doubt it will replace firefox. It hasn't replaced firefox for me. if I could get this kind of browsing speed with firefox, it would be perfection, or on the other side of the coin, if I could get firefox-like functionality with chrome, it would replace FF in a second. |

I have not tried it with the "new" site, but under the "old" site, it had numerous and very well discussed here "tics". |

Exactly, with all the add-ons and other features of firefox it is hard for me to move over to primarily using chrome. |

I tryed Firefox and while it was fast at first it became painfully slow for some reason so I went back to IE. in it's "factory" configuration, FF can become a resource hog very quickly. A few well publicized tweaks helps to lean FF out considerably and prevent the dreaded slowdown |

My firefox installation seems to be as fast if not faster than chrome. Less visual oddities as well. try this to speed up firefox: Speed up Firefox. If you have a broadband connection (and most of us do), you can use pipelining to speed up your page loads. This allows Firefox to load multiple things on a page at once, instead of one at a time (by default, it’s optimized for dialup connections). Here’s how: * Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Type “network.http” in the filter field, and change the following settings (double-click on them to change them): * Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true” * Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true” * Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to a number like 30. This will allow it to make 30 requests at once. * Also, right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. |

I did that a while ago, and while it certainly picked up the pace, it still is not as fast as chrome by a longshot |

but, i do not see enough benefits from chrome at this point in time. firefox for me. |

so far i'm not impressed. It seems to have an issue with scaling AR15.com. To make the text big enough to read, it throws off proportions on just about everything else, making the site look even worse than it currently does. blech. Yup. I use Chrome almost exclusively, but AR15.com is seriously screwed up. Everything is huge! |

Oh, and since it seems I was doubted about Chrome's incompatability with ArfCom, yup, it still happens. Try to post or reply, and often, VERY often, you get a long error message saying "this page cannot be found". It only happens with Chrome, and it only happens here. And it just happened again, on the "new" site.
