Specifically the Archos 7 or the 101. I'm looking at these as a replacement for my dead laptop, since it had devolved from being used as a serious tool to a living room web browser.
I'd really like a 10", and the 101 had HDMI out. Some report it's flimsy, which probably wouldn't work well with my environment. Acer is releasing a 10" that I believe will be running Froyo or even Honeycomb at release. The Samsungs are out of the price range I'm willing to go for a tablet, unless I could be convinced I'd get my money's worth use out of a tablet. |

We are looking at the Archos as well. Like you said, some of the reports (specifically over at Android Forums ) are okay, but not glowing.
I think the majority of people who got the 101 when it became available have not received theirs yet. We are going to wait until more user reviews are posted and the 2.2 upgrade is complete. For the price, they look promising. Eric |

I played with an Archos 7" tablet last week at Office Depot. After playing with it I have to say I'll pass. It wasn't smooth and the screen didn't seem durable. It felt more like my old iPaq PDA screen years ago
I'm waiting to 2011 when there should be a host of new tablets, PlayBook, LG Optimus, iPad2 and others. The thing that is holding me back about Android is right now. No Netflix, it can't connect to AdHoc wireless which means no connecting to my iPhone via MyWi :(, IMO too many companies skinning and putting their own mark on it or using version different versions. Many with no offical Market Place Hopefully Android 3.0 tablets get it right |
