Cruising the lanes at the local gun show (Abq, NM) I come across a case with a FN 5.7 pistol. I read the sign above the FN 5.7 which reads:
Same pistol as used in Ft. Hood Massarce I'm usually not shocked by much, but that shocked me. Bad taste on the dealer's part I think. |

Quoted: What an ass. Any chance somebody else placed the sign there with out the dealer seeing it? Monk The antis are out in force. At the big gun show around here a couple months ago there was a news crew yelling at people looking at Glock 19s, saying it's the gun used at Virginia Tech. The "news crew" got booted from the premises after an FFL heard they were harassing customers. Quoted: Quoted: What an ass. Any chance somebody else placed the sign there with out the dealer seeing it? Monk No way - it was in one of the flip open glass cases with the sign directly above the pistol. I wish I would have taken a pic.....and then asked why. Maybe this "dealer" is false flag? Or he's just an idiot trying to sell using fear mongering of a (unlikely) future ban and a poorly worded sign? |
I am an asshole, but this is what I would have done. I would have looked over his stuff, found the most ridiculously overpricd item on it, and complimented it. Finger fuck it, then tell him I'm going to buy it. Play it all the way through, then right before you pay, pretend to notice the sign, and berate him verbally while telling him to take his sale and stick it up his ass sideways. I've been called vindictive before, though.

Quoted: Wow. Lots of guns have been used to do lots of bad things, but they are a tool. Why on earth someone think that is cool or a selling point is awful. to be fair... i want the same model and caliber of pistol used to kill arch duke ferdinand ![]() then again... that was almost 100 years ago.. |

Quoted: did you say anything to him? Are you kidding? That would require being assertive and taking a stand for something. It's much safer to run back to arfcom and tell everyone all about it. I can't believe the OP didn't at LEAST get a cell phone pic especially knowing this site's requirement for proof on stories as incredible as this one. I'm strongly leaning towards the story being bullshit. |
