Last year I got the wife an Ipod for Christmas.  A couple weeks ago I got myself one.

Now the Question: How do we use one computer to load both Ipods?

I first used it with the work computer but I'd rather use my home one.

When I hooked mine up at home it wanted to deleted all I had on it and install the songs my wife has on hers.

Is the a way using Itunes to do this or is there another program I can install to use with mine?

does each ipod have a different name? I can sync an ipod, a nano and an iphone on mine without a problem. Do you both have itunes accounts?

It recognizes it as a different Ipod.

I might have made a mistake by hooking to the work computer first.

Get a Zune instead.

Next time it's connected to a computer, go to the main info screen for the device and check the box next to "manually manage music, etc."  Then you can drag-and-drop music to it from any computer.
