Woke up this morning and my left eye was extremely swollen on the lower eyelid.

I have no idea what the hell caused this.  Should I head to the doctor or give it some time?

Looks like a stye developing.

Give it some time it will go away.

Definitely go to the doctor if you go blind.

Dibs on your beans and rice and I'm also looking for a small sheet metal screw for my air conditioner that I don't want to go to the hardware store for...if you have one of those then dibs on it too.

the questions you should ask yourself are:

1) is possible permanent damage worth sitting at home and getting advice on ARFCOM?

2) if 1 occurs, would you curse yourself for being to cheap to pay whatever the cost is to see a doctor that would have saved your vision?

some things are worth paying for, eye health is one of them.  you only get 2, having only 1 and not having depth perception and a significantly reduced field of vision would be awful.

AIDS. Possibly early symptoms of the Hanta virus, but most likely AIDS.

And that thing on the bridge of your nose looks cancerous, too.

That's a white head above your nose

No seriously, commonly called a stye. Develops from a blocked eye lash follicle that gets infected somehow. Either way bacteria got in there caused the infection results in a stye filled with infection/pus. Don't pop it or f'with it, that = infected gunk all over your mucus membrane possibly spreading it. Go  to a UCC get an antibiotic for faster relief.

Oh yeah google is your friend.

Run a washcloth or hand towel under hot water until the towel is wet and warm and then put it over your eye and let it sit there. Do it a couple of times for a few days.

If it hurts, go see a doctor.  If not, give it a few days, if it doesn't go away on its own, then see a doc.
