About three weeks ago I was running on a treadmill and once I was done I felt a tingling sensation in my ankle. Went to sleep not thinking much about it woke up UN able to put weight on it. That lasted for two days before it basically was pain free. I went back to working out as normal with no problems.

Two days ago I was warming up on the treadmill and felt the same sensation, stopped working out all together walked out again pain free but suspecting I'd have pain the next day. I did  but not severe and walked around with a freind on my day off.

I wake up in the middle of the night with constant pain in my ankle worse than before. I have been up since then trying to distract myself from the pain, rather unsuccessfully.

Without getting into a long story, I have to do an important physical activity on the 16-17 and need to get an idea of whether or not it's realistic for me to try and participate.

Current plan is to see if I can deal witht the pain today. Doctors appointment tomorrow.

Pain ranges from a 4-5 constantly.

Update: Ankle sprain with the possibility of stress related hairline fracture.

I'm planning to rub some dirt in it and take the check ride anyway. What's the worst that can happen?

Most likely a strain/sprain, but the differential diagnosis includes some nasties.
Rest/ICE/compression
2 Aleve twice a day
Need to be evaluated/examined for a proper evaluation and diagnosis

Not DVT.  You might have given yourself a hairline ankle fracture; and, the bad news is that you're going to have to stay off it for awhile.

We all have healthcare now, so you have no reason to not go to the doctor. Remember to thank Obama for your healthcare also!
