How many of each type and what software are the Arfcom servers running?  Operating system & database?

What kind of internet connection is needed to keep this place connected - DS3?

I predict a couple of pastel-colored iMacs running in someone's basement/BDSM dungeon, hooked to a 128k ISDN line.  Microsoft Access 97 for the back-end database.

And no you paranoid fuckers, I'm not 'phishing' for info, and I could find out if it was that important to me.

the last i heard they had a room full of monkeys, rapidly flicking various switches and there was something about an abacus being involved.

Where does the goat chained to the sink come into all of this?  Or is that just for entertainment?

No point.  A DS-3 still runs around $20K per month, but 45 Mb/s of commodity bandwidth in a datacenter will run you much less.  At least around me, quality bandwidth is around $200 per Mb/s retail.  I'll bet I could get a 45 Mb/s commit for less than $5K, especially given the amount I'd be paying for floor space and power to use that much bandwidth!

Eh, if I was an asshole I could find out most of it, I was just asking to see if anyone knew.
