My gf had pneumonia for a month, then developed a secondary infection in her bronchial tubes, then epiglottitis, then got the pneumonia again because she wouldn't rest and reinfected. So, going on 6-7 weeks now. She has frequent 'attacks' where she'll stop breathing and will have to use an Advair inhaler. Now she says that it feels like her throat starts to close up when she tilts her head. She's on levaquin, prednisone, advair and albuterol.

What's this new head tilty choky thing?

Sounds like upper airway swelling. Needs ER and steroids.

That's nothing to fool around with.

Get her back to the doc fast.

Some kind of reactive airway disease? Probably needs allergy testing, pulmonary function testing, and sleep studies.

Not a physician or medical advice.

Is she seeing the same doctor for all this?

Dear god I hope not.

I wouldn't fuck around with airway stuff; things can go bad very quickly and you won't be able to do a damn thing about it.

I'd consider another trip to the Dr or ER..

Very odd, especially the epiglottitis  (HiB vaccine has made that quite rare).  Any further details on the "secondary infection in her bronchial tubes"?
