Arm the Homeless Instead of providing the homeless with food and shelter, this charity would provide them with guns and ammunition. It was named 'The Arm the Homeless Coalition.' The press release declared that "The Arm the Homeless Coalition will be collecting donations to provide firearms for the homeless." These firearms would "provide desperately needed protection for America's disadvantaged." "Who more needs to exercise their constitutional right to have a weapon for protection?" “They are not only homeless, they are powerless. Because they have no money they are treated as though they have no rights. Government does not help them, the ‘charitable’ public ignores them or condemns them and the police harass them and destroy their makeshift dwellings,” stated the press release. The ATH literature also stated that a firearm works as “the great equalizer,” claiming that a homeless person with a gun is just as powerful as his wealthy or politically powerful counterpart. |
you cannot condem a man for something he hasnt done yet, no matter how much people on arfcom like to do it. there is nothing wrong with homeless legally owning guns. |
You can deny a felon the right to vote or own a gun based purely on his past history. You can deny a citzen the right to own a gun if they have been under mental confinement or diagnozed with a mental disorder. You can deny a homeless person the right to own a firearm because they cannot properly complete the yellow sheet, particularly the "home address" portion. Past performance sometimes is the only indicator of future behavior. |
