I am not an LEO. I have been a couple of years on my church safety team comprised of volunteers from the congregation. Roles include everything from helping elderly get in/out of their vehicles, to watching areas while everyone is in the service, watching over the children's Bible class areas, monitoring CTV, and if need be, getting in between congregation members and an active shooter or other antagonists. I recently decided to get some concealable NIJ IIIA to wear while on the task, and ordered some Armor Express armor that is brand new but expired, new old stock from BAO as I understand the armor doesn't really degrade unless exposed to sunlight or moisture.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Armor Express offerings, and had anything good or bad to say about it. Most of the LEOs on the team have used second chance and others, but had not used Armor Express. Specifically it's the Quantum IIIA armor with the Evolution carrier. Thanks for any comments. |

We have used Armor Express for years at work and never had any issues. J- Thanks. The only issue so far I have had was with the sizing. I had to send the 46R size back for a 46L since the former seemed a little short. I will probably get a T-shirt carrier for it too, the regular concealable carrier gets really hot out in the sun. Chances are I will never need it, but what happened in Garland at the art gallery is a little close to home, its only about 30 minutes away. |
