I was told to post this over here for better answers.
For all of you Army officers that went through ROTC, what can you tell me about the Army student loan payback program? As I understand it, the Army will repay up to $25k in student loans in exchange for 1 more year added to your contract and up to 45k for another 2yr commitment. I also heard that the army will only pay back the principle and not the interest though. Is that true? I only want to take 25k. That will cover everything and leave me with about $5k to save and play with. My cadre haven't been the most forth coming about all of this so I turn here
