I had a mid rank officer, maybe a Captain or Major, call in a complaint. He had ordered a Spc to remove an anti-Clinton bumper sticker from his POV.
I went out and told the O I wouldn't either arrest the guy nor scrape the sticker off. The O got pretty pissy when I pointed out enlisted have 1st Amendment rights to engage in politics. I figure he must have called the PMO complaint line on me but I never heard anything else about it. In fact, looking back, 75% of my "I am Lordly and Powerful, all must obey my whims" problems came from O-3 and O-4. |
