It's nice being able to get your glasses through the VA, Now if I remember correctly, there is no cost once you are rated at either 50% or 60%. I get my no line bifocal transition lenses at no cost since I am rated at 70% UI. The VA pays for the transition lenses since my eyes are very light sensitive from years of welding and/or being around welding while in the Army. For those rates at a straight 100% or 70% UI and higher, then you also qualify for free dental. Being able to go to the VA for dental has been a big help for me. I have had several root canals and I also have a partial denture that didn't cost me anything. And don't forget to submit for travel pay if you qualify. |

| I started with VA care almost four years ago. I started with getting hearing aids, having a second heart attack, last January Knee replacement surgery. Some stuff has been done in house and some like knee surgery and heart attack stuff handled through community care at my local hospital. There is a small VA clinic local to me but any specialist is over an hour from me. I am lucky to be able to use community care a lot. |
I always knew you had to be willing to die to even do this job. But, I don't want to push my chips forward and go out and meet something I don't understand. A man would have to put his soul at hazard. He'd have to say, "O.K.I'll be part of this world
Just got my Latest bill from the VA.... $62.00 I think I can fit it in somewhere.... |

Told my doc about the pain ! get deep in my hip. Sometimes it locks up while I'm walking. WAs told its just a pulled muscles. Even though its been going on for years. Getting much worse now. Nope, pulled muscle. Here try physical therapy. I spend 5 months in therapy 3x a week. Just made it worse. Been walking even more weird to deal with the pain (knees are toast, yay airborne) When I walk a lot my back starts to hurt, a lot. Lifting and bending doesn't really bug it much, walking does, pretty sure because of my goofy way of walking now. Complained, finally get an MRI Yup I knew it, felt just like my shoulder before surgery but in my hip. Torn labrum. They offered more PT. F that. It made it worse. I asked for PT for my back that now its hurting. Get to PT, Therapist says my back is messed up because of my knees and now bad hip,. she wants to start------- hip therapy. F this |
