| Today I was out washing my Jaguar XJ12 at a local carwash. I vaccumed it, washed it, then I pulled to the front of the car wash and started to detail the wheels. Wheel 1 then 2 then 3, while I was putting the tire gloss on the passenger side front tire, I noticed a shadow on the ground. I looked up to see 2 men with heavy coats on. The first said, wheres our shit? I said what are you talking about, Im here washing my car. The second man said, I think this mf'er is full of it, when he said that I stood up and looked at him, shoved him aside, and quickly threw open the trunk lid while saying. I got your shit right here! They both turned and ran. I didn't have anything in the trunk but a cowboy boot, but I thank God that he was looking out for me today. A woman had called 911 and gave the description to law enforcement, but they came on foot and left on foot. Look no more .380's or 9mm, while they are great guns. I'll stay loyal to the .357 and the .45 acp +P Usually when violent crime happens it is often 2 on one. Given my size anyway many people wouldn't do hand 2 hand with me, and I definitely need to be carrying and carrying something substantial. If it comes down to defending my life like it almost did today, I want the best, most powerful weapon that I can carry and control. concealment is no longer even an issue to me. Calm down, hero. There has been a pattern on this board of people comming here and in their first few post telling of some dramatic Draw Down® to impress the members. Maybe that wasn't your intention but that is what we expect. Please, go on with your story. |

Honestly, the thing that really ruins it for me is that your drawdown story has you drawing down with a boot... Normally newbs at least use guns in their drawdowns. Also, please to use paragraphs and good sentence formatings. For examples.

To the Original Poster, you have struck a nerve here at ARFCOM, in one post you have struck comedy gold. If you stick around long enough and buy a membership search the archives for carwash draw down. 1. Most of the lame unbelievable "Draw down" stories come from people with low post counts" 2. The Standard "Car wash" draw down. That too has been done before and as I recall it was funny as hell. 3. The my caliber is too small argument If you in fact had this happen to you congratulations on making it out in tact. You will however have many doubters here as some of the stories passed along here are not likely to have happened. Sorry I have to go make some popcorn and sit back to enjoy this show. |

No that was not my intention, I was scared as hell. I didn't have a gun today, and all I would of had would have been that boot.... hell im supprised they didn't take my car. And, I think if in this situation u just gun 2 ppl down you would be looking at second degree murder. They never did anything physically threatening, but it was scary. |

to the OP: i too believe in the "too small a caliber" deal. this is why i carry a .45ACP. well, actually it's just to make up for my "short comings", you know, (penis envy). just kidding with ya a bit. honestly though, if your story is legit then you faired pretty well. if not then your just a troll. no offense camaro |

I just am inclined to believe that .45 does alot of damage, alot more than most lesser calibers. Isn't that why swat uses .45 ? |

depends on what swat you are talking about. different depts. do different calibers/pistol platforms. but in short, yes honestly .45ACP has been proven to be a great stopping round. but if it came down to having a 9mm or a .380acp, then either of those is better than reaching in your pocket and only grabbing your leg. camaro |
