I want to put some audio files onto my phone, namely bananaphone and some Full Metal Jacket stuff.

What audio editing software is free and easy to use, which can help me achieve this goal?

How can I grab audio from a DVD or video file to use?

I tried using the phone's microphone but bananaphone sound really crap with it.

I don't know what files your phone needs, but there used to be a free program called goldwave that would edit most audio files pretty easily. And there is acid music but that might be a little overkill for getting files on your phone.
