Hi, I am replacing the fuel line on my old Land Rover.  This is the practically the first thing I have ever done under the hood of a car besides check the oil.

The old hose was cracked with age and leaked under pressure when the engine was running.  Now that I have replaced it, including the small brass cylinder inside the hose, there is a leak from the below pictured junction.  The brass cylinder slips freely in and out of the hole, whereas it did not before.  How can I fix this?  Do I need to use some sort of adhesive on the metal?  Thanks.

I think there's supposed to be an O seal inside the housing.  They're like $0.16 at Autozone.
