so I just received my fostech trigger and I want to run the cmmg.22 conversion kit in it. But when searching up videos I can only find a guy that bent the cmmg auto sear catch to make it work with the trigger. My question is, I thought it was sketchy ordering fa parts for a semi auto. Am I breaking any rules here or is this totally fine?

One round fired per trigger pull = not a machine gun.

I believe it's "one round...per trigger function." That's how a pull/release trigger avoids being categorize as a machine gun.

Not an issue.  In this case the portion of the 22 trip that would normally interact with the machinegun interfaces with a safety mechanism instead.

The installation of un-registered full auto parts is only illegal when it results in the firearm becoming fully automatic.
