Was this action by the B1, the first combat use of this aircraft? I guess we can thank Ronald Reagan for saving the aircraft, as Jimmie Carter scrapped the B1A. John |

No first action was over Yugoslavia. Philanderer-In-Chief Clinton even pointed out one of the crew members in the audience in his state-of-the-union speech (after the bombing of that country). Should be much better now with the Block D upgrades for conventional warfare. |

I got laid off at the end of the cold war (it was still Westinghouse). I still know a few folks at NG though and go to the King's Dominion Family Day trip every October. I miss it a lot, but I'm in telecom now and things are looking up. |
