Got this from an unknown source but thought I'd pass it on.
If the first 3 digits of the barcode are 690 691 or 692, the product is MADE IN CHINA. 471 is Made in Taiwan . |

This is not true. The prefixes used to designate countries refers to where the bar code originated, not the product itself. Depending on the distribution and supply chains of a company, this may or may not accurately tell you where a product was made.
For example, I have a Nikon scope box and mount on my desk. Both barcodes start with 018. The mount was made in the US. The scope is from the Philippines. ETA: Furthermore, a lot of smaller companies with limited distribution chains will use a shorter bar code, or none at all. |

Thanks for the tip +1 I'd rather support capitalism in China over communism in America. |

Gotta be union so let's buy the Chinese version. Thank god for those "Proudly made by Union labor" labels on stuff. I might have mistaken it for something I want to buy. |

I wonder how many of the Union bashers have ever done an actual days work. 40-70 hours a week for the last 16 years uninterrupted. Fuck unions, fuck their socialist propaganda, and fuck unions hacks. I can email you my latest USW email or any of the emails they've been sending daily for the last 5 years if you have questions about the political agenda of unions. |
