| Are these worth the extra money? I am currently running a 10.3" Spike's upper and a 14.5" BCM upper on one SBR'ed Spike's lower. I am thinking about getting a BCM lower to match my BCM upper, and SBRing it. So, are the BCM lower's worth it? |

I just built a complete BCM gun after finishing my complete Spike's gun. Both lowers were complete from both companies and I can tell you the only difference is the BCM comes with a better grip and a QD endplate. Other than that it is not worth it unless you want the markings.
ETA: the Spike's came with the ST-T2 buffer and the BCM had an H buffer if that matters to you. The BCM also came with one of their trigger guards. |
| I bought one before I learned how easy assembling a lower was. While it has been utterly reliable, the trigger that it came with was the worst trigger I've ever shot. Ever. My daughters Red Ryder had a better trigger. Honest. I replaced it with an ALG ACT, and I now love it. |

Is the BCM pistol grip better than Magpul? Going from A2 ---> Magpul was amazing. Quoted:

They come with a upgraded pistol grip, Gunfighter stock and enhanced trigger guard. If you like those options then yes it's worth it. Is the BCM pistol grip better than Magpul? Going from A2 ---> Magpul was amazing. I would say that is a personal preference. I prefer the Magpul Moe+ with the rubbery texture but the BCM one is really nice too. My lower did NOT come with an upgraded stock as mentioned above though. |

I went with a complete BCM Lower for my last AR build, which also has a KMR upper (14.5).
The trigger is not so great. The BCM pistol grip is nice, but I'm planning on replacing it at some point with a Magpul K2+ grip when I get around to it. The Magpul enhanced trigger guard is nice of course. The finish and fit with the upper is excellent as you would expect as it is from the same company. I purchased it out of an OCD need to have a complete BCM rifle. Would I buy the BCM Lower again? Well, I'm doing a build for my wife this year and I plan on going with a different company's lower as I do think they are overpriced for what they are. |

Will changing out the trigger guard to any other brand make a difference on the way your middle finger rest? Mine always hurts after a while if I'm walking around carrying it. |
