I started builiding an AR a couple of months ago, and now i am in a financial pinch and have to sell 2 of the 3 guns i own. i am going to keep the lower and mags i have, but i have to sell my build in progress along with all ammo i bought for it. If i sold this upper, what is a fair value for it without giving it away. And is it against the site rules to create a thread in my Hometown forum with a link to the EE?
BCM midlength (new, unfired)
Troy 10" FF rail
Troy gas block
Vortex flashhider
Troy BUIS
Magpul full miad grip kit and
500 rds Federal XM193C
i bought all those things after months of being on this site, and now i dont know if i will ever get back into it. kinda sad.

80% of what you paid, since its used.
or
180% of what you paid since its the "cool" thing to do.

You need money?
The true value of the upper is whatever the market will pay for it.
Put the sucker on GunBroker.

I'd give you $550-$600 w/o BCG.
ETA: the ammo is worth $200-$250 so tack that on to the above.

$1200 if a charging handle and BCG are included. $900 if not.

Quoted: $1200 if a charging handle and BCG are included. $900 if not.
you must be out of your mind.
I doubt the gunstroker tards would even pay that much.

Seriously, put it on GB with no reserve, or a reserve of 80% new if it makes you feel better.
Then let them bid it up, it's out of your control, and see what it goes for.
You are under no obligation to provide cheap AR parts to others.

Alot of people seem to have hard ons for the BMC middy and they are selling on EE for $600 plus.
You part that out right, you can reasonably get $1100-1300 total.
