I hate it to and as an armor whore it affects me but there are morons everywhere.

MAC address ban. I only wish I had the same admin rights on Punkbuster too :D But not for people who punish for stupid teamkills, but for teamkillers themselves (the real teamkillers, the ones who join up with your team just to bring you down). |

Wish I could play [email protected] my video card isn't up to snuff and I don't have the money for a newer card...  . the worst part is this: i've gotten (to be modest.... pretty f'ing good in the airplanes) - now, i'm fair and i share. look at that, i'm a poet. anyways... so i'm waiting for a plane, and i'm the only one in the hanger. if someone else is there first, i let them have it. some punk comes up and is jumpring around in the air tryign to get in it before i do. i always win. but then they stand so you have to run them over to take off, and they punish the teamkill on you because of it. thats the most b*llshit thing ever, i hate it. so i did it to him after i finally died and then switched to USA and smoked his ass in a FB35 |
 Kind of a funny story of mine - I had this guy bitching and moaning cause I was killing him every time he spawned. I was the USMC commander, and he was one of those guys camping at an airfield, waiting for a plane. I would scan, find one little red dot (always in the same place), and hit it with artillery. At least 20 times. He kept saying in chat that I was cheating, and spawnkilling, and how it wasnt fair, yadda yadda yadda yadda. Even the people on his own team were laughing at it. The last time I killed him, he disconnected immediately. The Chinese commander was lauging, saying that my arillery strike hit him so hard it kicked him off of the internet

I think we are losing the basis for this thread. It is meant for UNINTENTIONAL team kills. Mostly because someone calls for artillery and then 3 guys run intoTHE BIG RED CANNON the that is glowing on their HUD display. Then you get 3 punishments and your kicked for it. Arty strikes do not come in an instant, there is a delay and these people are oblivious to the team play involved. I am sure most of you tend to agree that there is a need for the intentional team killer who is there to cause mayhem, but to punish someone for an unintentional is a mistake. I'm not trying to start a flame war here, you guys know what I am getting at! |
I understand. TK punishes are instant. Before you said sorry and they said NP or something. Now you dont have time to say sorry, that jerks punish right away. I only punish if it was intentional. If I am trying to put c4 on a tank and soneone shoots it with a rocket, I expect to die. |

You're assuming EA is competent enough to actually display it. I've watched several guys here play the game, and I have never seen a red cannon in the HUD for an arty strike. I looked. Don't assume that just because it sometimes works for you that it works for everyone. This is EA we're talking about. With that said, I don't understand why my coworkers even bother to play that game. I saw one shoot an enemy, and the game took two points from him. I saw another kill three people in a row as a sniper then when he respawned his points were zero. I've seen guys empty entire 30 round magazines into an enemy without killing them, especially with the weak rifle the anti-tank guys get. Like I said, I don't understand why people even attempt to play a game from EA. I think Summer Games was the last good game they did, and that was 21 years ago.z |
They are wearing body armor and you wonder why a pussy ass Mp5 wont penetrate? When the M4 and M24 barely penetrate???? Everytime there's an Arty Strike on my map, it displays the huge red Arty icon. It even displays it on the regular map on the upper right corner.

It does it for friendly arty strikes, but not enemy strikes. Wait until the realism mod comes out. |
Mauser, the arty strikes don't suck, cause nobody is there when I start it. After it is started idiots like you walk into it. Shouldn't you be cleaning your Airsoft gun about now anyway? |
This is why I aim for either a headshot or legs, if I have the time. At point blank range, there frequently isn't the time, and just bullet hose the guy... I don't recall seeing the red arty icon either, but anyways... |
| It's not the punish system that is messed up, it is the friendly fire assignment that is FOOBAR. Like if your chopper gets shot down, it says you team killed all your passengers instead of them being killed by whoever shot you down. And if someone driving a full humvee drives over your mine, you get teamkills for all the passengers, when it should be the driver who gets the tk's. And if people jump infront of your vehicle or just intentionally stand on top of it so they get killed, they should just be suicides not team kills. How is a friendly, jumping on your vehicle and then dying when you move forward an inch your fault? The worst thing though is when you are a chopper pilot, and a friendly jet rams into you. YOU get the team kills for the jet pilot, and all your passengers. |
Meh. All my airsoft gear (about $4k including guns and "go fast" shit) has been sitting in my closet collecting dust for the past two years. I'm thinking of getting rid of it. I normally hold to a two year rule on my stuff. If I haven't used it in two years then I obviously don't need it anymore. Besides, I could buy a lot of ammo with that money. Shit that goes boom is more fun anyway. Gotta admit, I've put on a bit of weight since I stopped playing. I was all svelte when I played every few weeks. I don't run into arty strikes...for the most part. Cept the other night. Some nincumpoop got the CO position and he refused to put out requested supply drops and barely gave us any UAVs. He was also "leading from the font" in a jet all the time. Friggin waste of a commander. You can't lead if you can't spend time looking at the map. So....in this case, yes I did run into the arty strikes. Mutiny votes weren't working and kick votes need even more votes to go through. So, we got two squads running into his arty strikes until he was kickbanned. Think his tag was so-something. |
