Who all uses these?  Which ones do you use?  I have one, but I don't think it's rated for athletics.

I've never invested in one.  I've always relied on a good set of calipers... administered by someone other than myself.  Does your gym have some PTs that can just do a real quick one for you?

I have a Tanita.  They are not necessarily accurate, but they can be consistent if you climb aboard with a relatively constant hydration level.  In other words, don't expect the percentage bodyfat to be correct, but you can use it to determine trends.

They are pretty close if you are well hydrated.  You might be shocked at the % reading you get.  I swore it was reading wrong but I had just let myself go slowly so they certainly have their uses and as stated show trends and only very close to accurate results.

I had a Tanita.  The scale was super accurate.  My fat level would swing 10%, and I'm ALWAYS well hydrated.

Useless.  I left it with a roomate.

I did an experiment last night.

33% BF before a shower.
27% BF after a shower and toweling off good.

I'll see about getting wifie to measure me.  I know my chest has expanded a lot over the last couple months.

Try eating a meat loaded pizza (sodium), then drinking water til you pee clear.  You'll double that % swing.
