any of you guys into PS2 or XBox? (no debates please) have you seen/heard of/played the game called BLACK? looong story short, you're a hush-hush, covert black ops agent come maverick--off the beaten path--doesn't know the meaning of collateral damage...etc etc. its da BOMB, baby. first of all, you get to kill anything and everything that moves--using a variety of fun (and realistic) weapons (such as: ak-47 , mp-5, spas12, glock, RPG launcher, uzi --many have supressors for that super covert stuff). its a blast (no pun). some of the levels are a bitch though--even on "easy", but i recommend it wholeheartedly. |

Ive got it on PS2. its okay, not great.. oh sure its ultra realistic. right down to the MAC-10s with 90 round mags and 870s capable of decapatating evildoers from 300 yards distance.. Ultra realism like the AKs with left side charging handles and 60 round mags complete with supressor!! zing! zing! In a game where they claim that the guns are the stars, I have to wonder if the developers even bothered reading about guns. every gun except the 870, glock 19, and Beretta have 2 to 3 times the capacity that i thought they had. mebbe I need to check my owners manual again, cause that M16 mag that I can only squeeze 20 rounds in they can get to hold 90. Secondly they forgot their gimmick by the middle of the secind level. OOh you can destroy everything!!! well thats true. in the first level that is. With enough time and ammo you can take out a concrete wall. but by the second level there isnt much you can take out aside from cars and explosive barrels strewn about the battlefield.. coulda been great, but i think its just kinda ok.. |

Okay, letr me translate for those that are versed in the rare language of Game-onics! Black is a new video game that was introduced for the PS2 and XBOX consoles; is a single person shooter that puts you in charge of a band of SF operatives, working clandestine missions in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. I personally have not played it yet, since my time is devoted to actually working a 12 to 8 job and I usually spend my money on ammo and range fees.  But whoever has payed the game comments that the level of realism is quite good and is a worthy buy. You decide.

I'm in the Mid East now and I have bought so damn many $2 pirated games, (that all work really well), that I don't have time to play them. Black, Battlefield 2, Ghost Recon, blah blah blah...not much else to do though!
